PO-80 record factory

The PO‑80 Record Factory from Teenage Engineering is a compact, DIY record cutter and playback machine that lets you create your own 5″ vinyl discs with warm, ultra‑analog lo‑fi sound. Designed in collaboration with Yuri Suzuki, it’s a portable kit that you assemble yourself, including all the parts you need to start engraving audio right out of the box. Simply plug any audio source into the 3.5 mm input and cut your tracks onto blank records in an instant, then switch to playback to hear your creations. The built‑in tonearm and speaker let you listen directly from the unit, or you can connect external speakers for a larger sound. Each record offers around three minutes at 45 RPM or four minutes at 33 RPM per side, making it perfect for short songs, loops, or creative experiments. USB‑powered and lightweight, the PO‑80 combines tactile DIY fun with analog audio exploration. The kit includes blank records, a spare cutting needle, a USB power cable, a 3.5 mm audio plug, and even an adaptor for 7″ discs. While the audio is intentionally lo‑fi, that character gives each record a distinctive, nostalgic charm. The Record Factory also offers a creative bridge between modern digital music and physical vinyl grooves. Whether you’re engraving experimental tracks or personal mixes, the PO‑80 turns vinyl creation into a playful, hands‑on experience.

VARUD means danger zone in Iceland 🇮🇸. This website is my personal version of that zone - filled with design, minimalism, and everything dangerously aesthetic. My wishlist keeps getting longer (and pricier) every day. So I turned temptation into curation — a space to admire without always buying.
